Currently - I’m wrapping up my first year in studying Technical Analysis and being a part of the Fintwit community. Just awesome. What a great year of developing. I wanted to commemorate it.

But - probably most important to me is the 2nd part of the tweet in which I thank the role models, the teachers, mentors & resources. Such lights or beacons to my path. I’d have been lost without them.

If you are a newer trader - I HIGHLY recommend you follow those above, as I hope they can help you as much as they helped me.
Which brings us to today… Happy Thanksgiving.
In my home on Thanksgiving - we take time to reflect on what we are thankful for. But, I feel like I have already done that above - so I thought it best to give back to the newer traders. To offer the kind of valuable information I craved in my first few months. Those first few months were a psychological whipsaw. Filled with fear and greed. Panic selling - Impulse buying. And in a personal quest to find some sanity - I discovered charting and technical analysis. Quite simply, fundamentals and the news intrigued me - but I had a hard time of knowing when to the buy the rumor and sell the news. It was just too much.
Price. Price, though. Price was real and immediate.
But - then comes the overwhelming sensation of “where to start”. Have you ever felt like there were a Gazillion indicators and books and Youtube channels, furus, news sources, twitter accounts and discords? It’s Paralyzing. Has it felt as overwhelming to you? It certainly did for me.
So, I wanted to help pave a path worth following. For the newer traders interested in charting - I felt a few fundamental skills laid out in a simple enough sequence could help turn a colossal task into manageable objectives. I also wanted to offer a chance for those new students of charts to know they can reach out and discuss things with me, publicly or in DMs. Several of those listed above did the same for me. Time to pay it forward.

The next year could be an amazing time for you and I hope these suggestions on foundational skills help that ring true.
Good luck and lean in when you need to.
